Mini STR detection kit effectively enhances the detection of trace biological samples and assists in case investigation.

At present, STR technology has been widely used in individual identification and paternity testing in forensic DNA testing. As STR technology plays an important role in various criminal cases, more and more trace, corrupt, and degraded biological samples are being extracted and required for DNA analysis. When the amount of DNA template is less than 100 pg, it is called a low copy template, which is a difficult point in forensic DNA testing. During STR fragment typing, phenomena such as "dominant amplification" or "ineffective amplification" often occur, which brings difficulties to the actual judgment of cases.


The biological samples with low copy templates are degraded into small fragments or contain various unknown impurities and amplification inhibitors due to decay. Despite various processing optimizations, the use of commonly used commercial test kits still cannot obtain complete STR typing, especially for large allele fragments that are difficult to amplify successfully.


In order to meet the practical needs of case testing and improve the detection rate of low copy template biological samples, we have developed a Mini STR detection kit.


01 HuGen Mini A Fluorescence Detection Kit

An efficient six color fluorescent labeling system is used to amplify 15 autosomal STR loci and 1 sex locus in human genomic DNA. The maximum detected fragment is less than 340bp, which can effectively supplement the information of large missing loci. Combined with AGCU EX28CS, it can detect 29 autosomal STR loci, 1 Y indel, and 1 sex locus.

Product features:

1. High performance PCR premix system with strong inhibition and sensitivity up to 50pg/25ul

2. All amplified fragments of gene loci are less than 340bp, making them particularly suitable for trace, degraded, and spoiled samples

3. Supports adding samples up to 70% volume, greatly improving the detection rate of trace samples

4. The coverage of gene loci is larger, reducing the risk of allele crossing boundaries


02 HuGen Mini Y Fluorescence Detection Kit

The efficient six color fluorescent labeling system is used to amplify 19 Y-chromosome STR loci in human genomic DNA, with a maximum detection fragment of less than 300bp. It is suitable for trace and degraded samples and can effectively supplement the information of large missing loci. Combined with AGCU Y43CS, a total of 39 Y-STR loci and 5 Y indel loci were detected.

The Mini STR kit, as a supplementary reagent, can be effectively used for the inspection and identification of various low copy template biological samples in forensic scientific practice.
